ECMA Nomination!

Just a quick update for everybody. We found out today that "The Conquering" has been nominated for Loud Recording of the Year at the 2010 East Coast Music Awards. You can see the full list of award nominations at the ECMA website. If anyone happens to be an ECMA member, when voting time comes around we encourage you to cast your vote for us.

 We also have a few shows coming up, so check the calendar and try to make it to one, because we won't be playing nearly as often over the winter. We're heading up to Fredericton, NB on December 7th to play with label-mates (and apparently ECMA rivals) We, the Undersigned for their tour homecoming show, along with Rusted Dawn. After that, we'll be heading up to Coldbrook, NS for a show on December 18th, and finally, we'll be performing January 16th at The Paragon in Halifax alongside Monotonix, all the way from Tel Aviv. I hear these guys are crazy, so this is one you want to be sure to catch.

So, as you may have noticed, we've recently updated the look of the website. Thanks to Brad at Orange Room Studios for the new design. Unfortunately, after the update we had some technical difficulties, and couldn't post updates for awhile. We're back up and running now, and will be keeping you apprised of things as they come up from here on out.

 

We recently played a couple of shows with 3 Inches of Blood in Halifax and Moncton and both went great. I'll get a few videos up from the Moncton show sometime soon. Also, the new 3 Inches of Blood album is fantastic, so if you haven't heard it yet, definitely think about picking it up.

 

We've got a few shows coming up, starting with Spew's album release/Halloween party on Saturday. After that we'll be heading to Yarmouth for Nova Scotia Music Week November 6-8. Finally, at the end of November (the 26th) we're doing a big show with Protest the Hero at the Cunard Centre in Halifax. Tickets just went on sale at all Ticketpro locations as well as through www.ticketpro.ca. The lineup also includes our friends Children of Eve and D5R label-mates Iron Giant and We, the Undersigned, so make sure you check it out.

So we'll be hitting the road starting the 21st (next Monday) with Fear Before (formerly Fear Before the March of Flames) and Baptized in Blood for shows in Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown and Halifax! Album teaser video and all ages release party

So, just a couple of things. We've just uploaded a teaser video for the upcoming in-store release of The Conquering. It was put together from footage shot by Mike Bromley at the August 1st release party at Monte's in Dartmouth, and kindly edited by Jordan Dupper. Check it out below.

 Also, we've just announced an all ages release party for Thursday, August 27th at 6 PM. It's at a new venue in Dartmouth, so help us make it a great show! The Old Mill Upstairs is at 200 Wyse Road, right by the McDonald bridge; easy to get to by bus, so no excuses for missing this.

Show will start at 6 PM sharp! It's a bit early, but things have to be wrapped up by 9. That just means there's gonna be plenty of time to go out and party after the show.
